Bike Kaipātiki is a passionate local group dedicated to making cycling safer and more accessible for everyone in the Kaipātiki area. We believe that cycling is a sustainable, healthy, and enjoyable way to get around, and we work hard to create a cycling-friendly community.
What is a Bike Burb?
Bike Kaipātiki is part of the Bike Burbs movement, Bike Auckland's network of community-based cycling advocacy groups. Bike Burbs empower local communities to:
Advocate for improved cycling infrastructure: This includes things like dedicated bike lanes, cycle paths, and safer crossings.
Promote cycling education and safety: We organize bike safety checks, workshops, and community rides to encourage safe cycling practices.
Build a strong cycling community: We host social events and create a supportive environment for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
Who We Are
Bike Kaipātiki is run entirely by volunteers passionate about cycling. We are a diverse group of residents from across the Kaipātiki area, united by our shared vision of a cycling-friendly community.
What We Do
We offer a variety of programs and services to support our mission, including:
Bike safety checks: Our trained volunteers can help you ensure your bike is safe to ride.
Advocacy: We work with local and regional government to advocate for better cycling infrastructure.
Education: We provide educational resources and workshops on bike safety and maintenance.
